Shuttle Service

Columbia operates a variety of shuttle buses to facilitate travel between campuses. Shuttles are free to Columbia University ID card holders – just tap your CUID on the card reader as you enter the bus.

Use the TripShot app to track bus locations in real time and stay up to date with service announcements. TripShot also offers a trip planning feature and the ability to favorite your most-used routes, stops, and trips for easy access. Learn more and download the app

Academic Year schedules are now available for the Intercampus, Lamont, and Manhattanville Loop shuttles:

  • The Intercampus Shuttle travels between Columbia's Morningside, Manhattanville, and Medical Center campuses. It also provides connections with MTA stops and Metro North.
  • The Lamont Shuttle connects Morningside campus with the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory campus.
  • The Manhattanville Loop Shuttle provides direct transportation between the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses.

Evening Service in Partnership with Public Safety

The Evening Shuttle service, run in partnership with Public Safety and powered by Via, is a safe, convenient and free alternative to walking alone at night. This free service is operated by Columbia-dedicated Via drivers, and it runs each evening until 3 a.m. within a coverage area surrounding the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses. View a full calendar of monthly service start times. Most rides have a wait time of 15 minutes or less but be aware that during peak periods there may be greater demand.

You can book rides using the Columbia-dedicated Evening Shuttle app. The app will also display alternative Columbia Transportation shuttle bus options based on your trip details and availability. Head to the App Store or Google Play Store and download the Evening Shuttle app

Fort Lee Shuttle

The Fort Lee Shuttle is a Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) service connecting Columbia’s Medical Center in Washington Heights to Fort Lee, New Jersey. For any questions regarding the Fort Lee Shuttle, send an email to [email protected]
