As of this morning, the MTA is still working on repairs related to a train derailment near 96th Street yesterday. Currently, there is no 1 Train service between 137th Street and Times Square.
The following service changes will be in effect for the week of Christmas (December 25, 2023) through New Year's Day (January 1, 2024). All shuttles will resume normal operations on January 2.
Beginning Friday, December 1, Evening Shuttle (Via) service will begin at 4:00 P.M. for the winter season.
The Fall Intercampus and Lamont Shuttle schedules will begin on Tuesday, September 5. The last day of the summer schedules will be Saturday, September 2.
The Lamont Park-and-Ride program recently expanded, adding ten new parking spaces for Columbia affiliates who want to park at Columbia’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory campus in Palisades, NY for a nominal fee and ride the free Lamont-Doherty Shuttle to and from campus. This recent increase brings the total to 51 parking spaces.

Columbia Transportation and the Office of Sustainability participated in a capstone project with students from the Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development this Spring semester.
The Intercampus Shuttle summer schedule will begin on Monday, May 22. The last day of the Academic Year schedule will be Saturday, May 20.
Through gradually transitioning its vehicles to hybrid and electric as they need to be replaced, Columbia University’s Department of Public Safety has greatly reduced its emissions.

Beginning Thursday, September 1, Evening Shuttle service will begin at 6:00 P.M. for the fall season. Corner-to-corner service will run from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and door-to-door service will run from 8:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.
The new Fall 2022 schedule is now available for the Intercampus Shuttle. All other shuttle schedules will remain unchanged for this semester.
The service provided over 160,000 safe rides for Columbians over the academic year and averaged just over a 15-minute wait time.
