Service Impacts During Winter Storm: 1/31 - 2/2

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for New York City and its surrounding areas in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday evening to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2.

Mayor Bill de Blasio issued a state of emergency due to the snow storm, including restrictions on non-essential travel from 6:00 AM on Monday, 2/1 to 6:00 AM on Tuesday, 2/2. Near-blizzard conditions are expected and New Yorkers should refrain from travel.

Monday, 2/1

  • Evening Shuttle (Via) service for Sunday, 1/31 will end at 11 p.m. Monday, 2/1 service is cancelled.
  • Commuter Shuttle service on Monday, 2/1 is suspended. Riders who have already purchased tickets will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days. 
  • Intercampus Shuttle service is suspended on Monday, 2/1.
  • Lamont Shuttle service is suspended on Monday, 2/1.
  • GWB/Fort Lee Shuttle service will end at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 2/1.

Tuesday, 2/2

  • Commuter Shuttle service is suspended for Tuesday, 2/2. Riders who have already purchased tickets will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days.
  • Lamont Shuttle service is suspended due to closure of Lamont campus for Tuesday, 2/2.
  • Expect a delayed start for other Columbia shuttles, dependent on road conditions. Continue to check the Passio Go! app for real-time bus locations and service updates.
