The prior capacity restriction on Columbia shuttle buses was recently removed in an effort to better accommodate the volume of Columbia affiliates returning to a reopening campus. This decision follows state guidelines and was reviewed and approved by the President's Advisory Task Force on COVID-19 at Columbia. Face coverings are still required on the shuttles, and the thorough cleaning procedures adopted due to the pandemic will continue. All Columbia affiliates have committed to keeping the Compact, which includes a daily symptom self-check and periodic testing. Additionally, contact tracing data shows that transportation has not been a source of COVID-19 transmission on campus.
