Before you look for parking, make sure you’re aware of the multiple car-free, cost-competitive, and sustainable travel options on this website. But if driving is your needed mode of transportation, here's how to park at Columbia:

Morningside and Manhattanville Campuses

Commuter parking is available for full-time Columbia faculty, adjunct Columbia faculty, and administrators Grade 14 and above. Applicants need to reside outside Manhattan to be eligible for commuter parking.

Student commuter parking at Columbia’s Manhattan campuses is only available for those enrolled in evening and Saturday classes. Students may park on class days only.

Columbia University Medical Center

Full-time, permanent Columbia University Medical Center employees who reside outside of Manhattan, are eligible to apply for CUMC commuter parking. If you live in campus housing or in the surrounding neighborhood, you are not eligible for parking.

Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory

Lamont offers commuter and visitor parking. All arrangements for parking at Lamont need to be organized prior to arrival.

Morningside and Manhattanville campus employees residing in the Rockland County area can park at Lamont campus and ride the free Lamont shuttle to Mornignside and Manhattanville campus. Sign up for the Lamont Park and Ride.

Parking on NYC Streets

Metered and non-metered parking is available on New York City streets; see the NYC Department of Transportation website for parking and alternate side street cleaning information

Visitor Parking

Information for Visitors to Columbia University, including a list of local public parking garages can be found at Visiting Columbia.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital Visitor and Staff Parking

The hospital's parking garage is located at 115 Fort Washington Avenue, between 164th and 165th streets, and is managed by the NYP Parking Office. The garage is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Payments accepted at the hospital's parking garage include cash and debit/credit card. For more information, call the NYP Parking Office at 212-305-4903.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric vehicle charging stations are available at Morningside campus for individuals who qualify and purchase commuter parking. These electric vehicle charging stations are located in the International Affairs Building below-grade parking area. Contact the Parking office, if you’re interested in charging your vehicle.
