Intercampus Shuttle Stop and Schedule Updates Take Effect January 6, 2014

December 19, 2013

Please note the following changes to the CUMC South Intercampus Shuttle stops, effective Monday, January 6, 2014. Departure locations have changed as follows:

Former Stop           New Stop                Former location                          New location
CUMC S                  CUMC S                  168 St & Ft. Washington            NW corner of 168 St. & Broadway facing south                                                                                                                                                  (in front of Starbucks)

Wendy’s                  CUMC 166 S          165 St & Broadway                     SW corner of 166 St. & Broadway facing south                                                                                                                                                 (by Children’s ER entrance*)

*Note: Do not block entrance. In foul weather, seek shelter by the Morgan Stanley hospital entrance)

These changes, developed after discussions with the Department of Transportation (DOT), and in consultation with CUMC, are being made to accommodate the DOT as well as NYP’s emergency room relocation, and to reduce interference with emergency vehicles. The CUMC South departure stop modifications are similar to shuttle stop changes already made by New York- Presbyterian.

Additionally, please note that after careful analysis of weekly ridership, Columbia Transportation is reducing the frequency of the Harlem Hospital morning schedule from four departures to three, and adding an additional morning run between CUMC and Morningside Heights. This helps us to better meet transportation needs, and contributes to the University’s sustainability goals.

Please consult the newly revised Intercampus shuttle map and schedule for more information. As a reminder, you can track the buses in real-time at columbia.transloc.com or download the free Transit Visualization app to access shuttle information while on the go, including real-time location of all buses and announcements that might impact service.
